Just spent 12 hours there today. We hit two spots and only got 2 little jackfish. Probably won't be going back anytime soon

Nice calm lake, more sheltered from the elements compared to the neighbouring Jackfish Lake. If you can find a hotspot, you'll usually go home with a boat full.

Good lake with abundant pike population yearly. Walleye have been scarce but last year i jigged and caught a handful,so they are not extinct you just need loads of patience and must know where to go

Steady producing lake. Not difficult to limit out on average sized pike. Walleye has been rarer the last few years, but it is possible to hit 12 lb plus of each. Like any lake, you've got to know where to look. And perhaps more than most lakes your hotspot on one day could have nothing the next.

Murray lake is not where you go with expectations of catching monster trophy fish. Murray lake is a place where you might find Grandpa, Dad and Sonnyboy giving Grampa's new fishing boat a shakedown and trying to catch a few fish along the way. Grandpa caught two little jacks and we had an interesting time plugging the leaks in Gramdpa's boat with chewing gum and twigs. All in all it was a great day. Old Murray lake, I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see you...
